Our client, a publicly listed company, has a long and successful heritage and enjoys significant leadership in many of the categories and product portfolios in which it operates. They have over seventeen iconic brands.
With international manufacturing and commercial operations in over 140 countries, our client is continually looking to grow its operations and is now seeking to employ some talented sales professionals in Australia.
The role of National Account Manager will be responsible for the development and execution of sales plans across a wide portfolio of consumer products in Big W, Target, Harvey Norman and Officeworks - to name a few. These plans will include robust sales forecasts and monthly target matching/reporting, terms negotiations, promotional programs, spend management, category management, inventory control and implementation of customer marketing initiatives to drive off-take in-store, in conjunction with the Brand Marketing teams.
We are ideally looking for an experienced account manager who has successfully managed some of the above retailers before. We are looking for a salesperson who can demonstrate where they have grown revenue, reduced spend, increased operational efficiencies and employed category management principles of best practice to customers.
Ideally candidates will have an FMCG or consumer goods (general merchandise, electronic, building, hardware) sales background and be competent users of SAP. A tertiary qualification in Commerce, Business or Marketing would be highly desirable.
Candidates will need to demonstrate by example, their high level numerical skills, outstanding written and verbal communication and where they have developed outstanding relationships that have yielded over and above returns for their employers.
